Chicken Lickin wings
Whether it's Superbowl or just that gotta hav'em, mouth waterin' yearning for wings, these will certainly appease your taste buds. Better make plenty, the go pretty fast.
approx 5 lbs chicken wings, cut at joints
1 c buttermilk
2 c flour
1tsp salt
1 tsp fresh pepper
1 T garlic powder
1/2 c Lousianna hot sauce
1/2 c bottled Teriyaki marinade(lawrys)
Vegetable oil, enough to cover the bottom of a heavy skillet by 1/2 "
Heat oil in heavy skillet. A deep fryer may be used instead if so desired.
After wing pieces are disjointed and separated, soak them for 1 hour in buttermilk.
Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder together in a 1 gallon plastic bag. Dredge wings a few at a time, shaking off excess flour and gently dropping them in to the hot oil. Cook on medium heat until wings are golden brown, turning once.
Drain on paper towels.
In a shallow dish, combine hot sauce and teryaki marinade. Dip each wing into the sauce, drain, then set them on a serving platter. Enjoy!
